We're hoping to throw our biggest celebration of the year.Among many other offerings at this event, we'll also be releasing a special edition of AE Magazine, meant to support 24 charities selected by our staff.This is a chance for us to connect with the community, share ideas, and discuss future collaborations that can shape our next publications.

blackjack

rules

Goal: Have cards total higher than the dealer's cards, without exceeding 21.

Minumum/maximum Bets: 0 (Play for fun!) - 100k per hand

Card Values

  • 2 through 10 are worth the number they state.

  • 11, 12, 13 are all worth 10.

  • Aces can be worth either 1 or 11, depending on the player's choice.

Player Options- Hit: Dealer adds 1 card to the player's total.- Stand: Player keeps the cards they received with no additional cards or bets.- Double Down: Can only be done on their first turn, the player can double their initial bet and receive one additional card only. After the additional card, they stand automatically.- Split: If the player's first two cards have the same value, they can split them into two separate hands. Player must place an additional bet equal to the original bet. The two hands are played individually.- Splitting Rules:
Aces: When splitting Aces, the player may only split once. If a 10-valued card is dealt to either Ace, it is considered a regular/dirty 21 and not a natural Blackjack.
Amount: Please split once for the dealer's sanity sake.

Dealers Turn
After all players have completed their turns: The dealer hits until they have a total of 17 or higher, they will hit on soft 16 and stand on soft 17 (a hand that contains an Ace counted as 11).*In the event that player and dealer come up with the same value, win goes to the dealer.

payouts

  • If the player's hand total exceeds 21, they bust and lose their bet.

  • If the player's hand total is greater than the dealer's hand total without exceeding 21, the player wins and receives a 2x payout.

  • If the dealer's hand total exceeds 21, they bust, and all remaining players win their bets.

  • If the player and dealer have the same hand total, it's considered a push, the player's bet is moved onto the next round.

  • If a player's initial hand consists of an Ace and a 10-valued card (10, 11, 12, 13), it is considered a Natural Blackjack and is an uncontested win unless the dealer also has a natural blackjack.

Welcome to The Aether Entertainer's back yard talent show, a fun showcase of various talented people in Eorzea. YOU decide who wins 10 million gil!

rules and information

  • participants will have 5 minutes to perform their act.

  • The winner will be decided via a panel of (3) judges as well as popular audience vote (strawpoll).

  • Sign ups for The Backyard Talent Show open at 8:00pm edt on September 26th, 2024. There will be a maximum of 15 pariticipant slots available. You must be on site to sign up. First come first signed up.

  • The Talebt Show begins at 10:30pm EDT. participants are expected to stay the entire duration of the talent show, which may run until 12:00am edt.
